Franz Lussman married Christina Dittli, born 20 Dec 1885, the daughter of Johann Joseph Maria Albin Dittli and Anna Maria Helena Indergand.
Franz was the care taker of the farm of an old widow. She willed the farm to him and his wife in return for care as long as she lived. Christina died in 1917. They had four children. One was Ludwig, a well known painter in Altdorf. Another was a daughter born about 1910, who later became a nun in Seedorf.
Ludwig painted scenes of the Swiss alps, making them look very rugged.
Albin Dittli and Ludwig Lussman were first cousins.
